Chiropractic & Perinatal Care
Chiropractic care helps support a safe and healthy pregnancy and delivery.
Whether you are thinking of becoming pregnant soon, currently pregnant, or have recently been pregnant, we are here to support you and your body through this special time.
Dr. Kendra is Perinatal & Webster Technique Certified. Webster Technique is used on pregnant moms to reduce bony restrictions and relaxes the supporting ligaments around the uterus. In simple terms, it helps get your baby in the best position for birth. This allows for an easier labor and delivery for you and baby.
Dr. Kendra works closely with midwives, obstetricians, and doulas to ensure you are receiving the best care!
Chiropractic care helps improve the function of your spine and nervous system, which will ultimately improve the health and comfort of your pregnancy.
We’ll support you in….
-
back pain relief
It’s no surprise that as your baby grows and changes, so does your body! As your body adapts to these changes it can cause a lot of pain and discomfort. Guess what? Just because you are pregnant does NOT mean you need to be miserable! 84% of pregnant women who received chiropractic care received relief from lower back pain.
-
overall wellness
You do not need to have symptoms during pregnancy to seek prenatal chiropractic care! A healthy nervous system leads to a healthier pregnancy (and ultimately a healthier delivery and baby!) Research also shows that postpartum pain was relieved in 75% of moms that received regular chiropractic care
-
sciatica
As your body grows with baby, your posture will begin to change as well. (A change in posture is normal with pregnancy but pain with change is not normal!) When you experience sciatica, it tells us there is an imbalance in the spine, often the pelvis. Chiropractic care can help restore this balance in the pelvis.
-
round ligament & hip discomfort
The round ligaments plays a key role in stabilizing your uterus as baby grows. An imbalance in the pelvis can cause an uneven pulling in the supporting ligaments, round ligaments included. This can cause for a lot of discomfort for mom and can even lead to non-optimal fetal position. As your body makes these changes, you do not need to be in pain.
-
optimal fetal position
There’s lot of reasons your baby may not be head down, don’t let pelvic imbalance be one of them.
Being Webster Certified, Dr. Kendra is well trained and experienced in helping restore balance and alignment in your pelvis.
-
preconception care
Whether you are struggling with infertility or because you want to start your pregnancy off on the right foot.
Chiropractic care can restore the function of your nervous system.
